Device Management Application (DMA)
Dear Parents,
We are pleased to inform you that a Device Management Application (DMA) has been installed on students' PLDs to provide a safer digital environment for learning.
For in-school use of the PLD, the following DMA settings will be in place as a default:
Protects students from objectionable content - Web content filtering includes, but not limited to, the following categories:
Violent/extremist content
Sexual/pornographic content
Gambling-related content
Reduce distractions from learning through control of applications - Students and parents/guardians will not be able to install additional applications.
Limit screen time - Your child’s/ward’s PLD will be set to the default sleep hours from 11.00pm to 6.30am. School may adjust the sleep hours subsequently as required.
For the DMA settings after school hours, parents/guardians can choose from the following options:
Default: MOE/school DMA settings will continue after school hours
Option A: Parents can modify DMA settings after school hours
