Abstracts are invited on key topics mentioned below which are proposed to be addressed in ICRR 2025. Any topic not listed below, but of relevance to the theme of the conference, may be considered subjected to the decision of the Technical Committee of the ICRR 2025. Abstracts can be submitted through our website https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ICRR2025 electronically, in the format mentioned. Abstract submission opens on 1st September 2024 and closes on 20th January 2025. It is proposed to publish selected papers in Scopus/ SCI/ ESCI journals or in reputed books as technical papers or book chapter after a peer review processes. Details pertaining to this will be announced later.

2. River Health
Natural evolution of rivers - geomorphology; ecological and environmental functions; social service functions; factors influencing river health; assessment of river health; issues, challenges, and gaps
3. River Ecosystem Services
Assessment of ecosystem services and its influence on river health
4. River Health Restoration
Re-establishment of natural physical process, features, and physical habitats of a river system including management of catchments, restoration to a more natural river, flood plain reconnection and wetland creation, instream enhancement, and removing or overcoming barriers
5. Reservoir Optimization
Release and transfer decisions that maximize water management objectives taking environmental flow and/or river health considerations into account
6. Climate Change and Human Water Feedbacks
Human water feedbacks/ socio-hydrology in the context of environmental flows and/ or river health and development; impact of climate change on water- human trajectories; water-energy nexus; water-food-environment nexus
7. Drinking Water and Waste Water Treatment Technology
The role of water and wastewater treatment systems in aiding maintenance of environmental flows and/or river health
8. Policies and Regulations in the Water Sector
