CALL FOR CONTRIBUTIONS

Submission Guidelines:

As a main part of the event, the poster session will provide an opportunity to discuss recent and ongoing research activities with the community. All poster presenters will have the opportunity to introduce their work to audience with a brief teaser slide presentation, and discuss in depth about cutting-edge research during the poster session.

As the event is organized in hybrid format, a 1-minute recorded presentation is required if the poster is accepted. The submitted contributions will go through a single-blind review process and be selected based on their originality, technical contributions, clarity in presentation, and relevance to the workshop topics. Certificates for best poster and presentation will be announced during the workshop.

We allow posters based on papers that have already been published or submitted elsewhere, or those based on preliminary experiments described in a new abstract. Therefore, you can submit either (1) a full paper, if it has previously been accepted at a major conference, or (2) an abstract (maximum 2 pages), if it is ongoing, unpublished research. 

We invite relevant contributions that fit topics of interest as shown below (but not limited to):

• Large-scale sensing architectures (tactile, proximity or multi-modal)

• Developments in proximity and/or tactile technologies

• Proximity-based and/or tactile based environment modeling

• Multimodal contact modeling

• Simulation approaches for proximity and tactile sensors 

• Data-driven and learning methods for large-scale multimodal sensing

• Human-robot interaction

• Environment interaction and obstacle avoidance

All submitted emails should follow a subject as "[ICRA2024] - ProxyTouch workshop - contribution submission."

Accepted submissions will be invited to present their works with a short introduction in the teaser session and in an interactive Q&A poster session.

Poster format:

• We recommend not to print posters larger than A0 in a portrait orientation. There is no specific template for the posters. You should choose the format that best represents your research work. 

• Poster stands will be provided. Onsite attendees need to print and bring their own posters.

Publication:

All accepted contributions and posters will be published on the workshop website after the ICRA 2024 conference. In addition, authors of selected extended abstract contributions may be invited to submit full-length manuscripts to be included after independent peer-review in a special issue.

• Deadline for submission (EXTENDED): 15 April 2024 25 April 2024 

• Notification of acceptance: A notification will be given on a rolling basis within the 14 days of submission
