Tenth Grade

Choose classes that challenge you as a student. If you have an option to take honors classes, take them. If you school offers AP or IB courses, take as many of those courses as you feel you can take. Don't wait until you are a Junior to take challenging courses. Start taking challenging courses as a Freshman and continue taking challenging courses through your Senior year. Continue to challenge yourself as a Senior. When you are a Senior, do not decide to take fewer or easier courses simply to fill your time. View your Senior year as an opportunity to polish your high school education and be ready for college.
