🌐 Network for L2 Listening Research and Education (NeL2L‑Edu)

We are a collaborative network dedicated to bridging the gap between theory and practice in second language listening comprehension. Our mission is to work hand‑in‑hand with experts, researchers, schools, teachers, and students to improve learning outcomes through effective strategies, innovative materials, and tasks tailored to diverse educational contexts.

We are proudly based in Chile, at the Pontificia Universidad CatĂłlica de ValparaĂso, Instituto de Literatura y Ciencias del Lenguaje. Our projects have been supported by ANID (Agencia Nacional de InvestigaciĂłn y Desarrollo), reflecting the national and international relevance of our work.

🎧 Our focus

Our teaching and research emphasize computer‑based L2 listening environments and task-based language teaching. By integrating authentic listening materials into interactive platforms, we aim to create meaningful exposure and engagement opportunities for learners primarily in high school in Chile.

Led by Dr. Mónica S. Cárdenas‑Claros, NeL2L‑Edu brings together:

Together, we move within the field of Second Language Acquisition (SLA), organizing conferences, workshops, school‑based research initiatives, and English training programs.
