Dr. Peta White is an Associate Professor at Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, and Co-director of the Regenerating Futures Faculty Research Group, a transdisciplinary initiative addressing Anthropocene challenges, decolonising practices, and researcher capacity building. She is also Editor-in-Chief of the Australian Journal of Environmental Education.

Her research focuses on science and biology education; sustainability, environmental, and climate change education; and collaborative and activist research methodologies. She led the Environmental Science contribution, Agency in the Anthropocene, for the OECD PISA 2025 Science Framework and is actively engaged in climate change education research and advocacy.

With extensive experience across Canada and Australia, Professor White has worked as a classroom educator, teacher educator, program coordinator, and leader in professional associations. Her work in initial and in-service teacher education emphasizes research-informed professional learning and curriculum reform.

A long-standing environmental education practitioner and advocate, she continues to collaborate with schools, communities, researchers, and professional associations to advance environmental and climate change education through research, professional leadership, and practice.
