Here are the visa guidelines for international attendees planning to participate in the International Conference on Emerging Computing and Intelligent Technologies (ICECIT 2025) in Hyderabad, India, based on the official information from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA):Β
A Conference Visa is granted to foreign nationals whose sole objective of visiting India is to attend a conference, seminar, or workshop. Applicants must:
Possess a valid passport and, if required, a re-entry permit.
Not be listed as persona non grata or be on any negative list or warning circular.
Demonstrate assured financial standing (e.g., possession of a return ticket and sufficient funds for the duration of stay).
To apply for a Conference Visa:
Invitation Letter: Obtain an official invitation to the conference from the organizing body.
Application Submission: Submit the visa application to the Indian Mission or Post in your country, along with the invitation letter and other required documents.
Processing: The Indian Mission will process the visa application and, upon satisfaction, grant the visa.
The Conference Visa will be issued for the duration of the conference, including travel time. Delegates may combine tourism with attending the conference; however, the total duration of stay should not exceed the period granted in the visa.
For participants from certain countries, such as Afghanistan, China, Pakistan, Iraq, Sudan, stateless persons, and those of Pakistani origin, the Indian Missions are required to make a prior reference to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs before granting the Conference Visa. This process may take up to four weeks, so early application is advised.
