She already knows she's getting old - grey hair is real.

She's been married 32 years to Jamie Gates, who teaches at Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU).

She has 3 kids - Charisa (married to Jack) who is a new doctor up in Santa Rosa), Anthony (married to Jaime [yep - we have a Jamie Gates and a Jaime Gates!]) who is up in WA state, and Micaela who is at PLNU as a junior this year. Actually, Charisa, Jack, and Anthony all graduated from PLNU, too.

She has a one year-old granddaughter, Joan, who is perfect in every way. 

She is from Pennsylvania, has lived in Boston, MA; Kansas City, MO; Pensacola and Gainesville, FL; and Cape Town, South Africa.

She is part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir of San Diego.
