Kitchen Remodel Under $50,000

"This project involved a remarkable transformation of a 120+ year old house, where the existing kitchen, likely from the 1970s, offered little cabinet space and storage. We embarked on a journey to breathe new life into this space, resulting in a captivating kitchen overhaul. The kitchen's footprint was significantly expanded to create a larger, more functional area. We chose contemporary off-white cabinetry, featuring double stack uppers with crown molding that extended to a 9'6" ceiling. Additionally, we added a butler's pantry with room for small appliances, including a sleek microwave. An inviting island took center stage with a striking granite countertop and seating for four. Solid surface countertops adorned all the perimeter cabinets, balancing functionality and aesthetics. Our dedication to preserving the home's historic charm led us to refinish the original hardwood floors and retain the exquisite original woodwork. To infuse warmth and personality, we added beautiful decorative lighting alongside practical recessed LED lights. In a nod to the home's history, we installed open shelving in the kitchen and butler's pantry using 120+ year old rough sawn lumber found in the home's attic. The pièce de résistance was a seamlessly integrated range hood discreetly nestled within matching cabinetry, ensuring a harmonious flow within the kitchen, where the past meets the present in perfect harmony.
