Bath Remodel Over $40,000

Winner: Duke Renovations - Ellis Full Home Refresh

"Our client's home was a full custom home originally completed in the early 2000s. Though it was built with very high-quality craftsmanship and finishes, the style and colors were dated and dark. A visit to a spa resort inspired our client to completely renovate the master bath. The goal was to create a restful respite from the outside world while incorporating a cool color pallet, industrial elements (i.e. concrete countertops), and to convert from a separate shower/tub to a combined wet room that creates a decadent spa experience at home. The floating vanity helps to provide the illusion of a larger space while the wet room provides an efficiency of design by combining the larger spa shower with the free-standing soaker tub. The multiple jets and heads in the wet room provide all the amenities of a spa experience at home. Expansive glass windows and shower doors adds to the open feel. The liner sconce lighting and smaller round vanity mirrors allow the herringbone tile wall behind the vanity to become more of a feature. Overall this project succeeded in delivering a luxurious spa experience in an updated design. "
