I wish to pursue aerospace engineering in the future. I've never known why I was so Interested in the field of aerospace, but I've always found the idea so fascinating. Initially, I had wanted to be a pilot, but my love of math and science pushed me more towards engineering as I've gotten older. I've taken Algebra 1, Geometry Honors, and am currently taking Algebra 2. I am also taking the Engineering program at the James A. Forrest Career and Technology Center. I'm hoping that my natural aptitude for math and science will assist me on my engineering journey.
This year, I'm hoping to join the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). CAP is a nonprofit organization that works with the U.S. Air Force, and I'm hoping to use this opportunity to gain more experience with aircraft and their systems.
I'm still undecided about my plans after high school. I'd like to either head to a four year university or join the Air Force. University would allow me to earn my engineering degree, allowing me to further my journey into my career. The Air Force also interests me as it would give me an opportunity to see aircraft up close, and understand their systems and instruments better.
I'm hoping to use my education to further the aerospace field, making air travel cheaper, safer, and more accessible to everyone. I hope to be able to make more fuel efficient, safer, faster, and quieter aircraft for both civilian and military applications. No matter where my education or skills take me, I hope to make at least one person's life just a little bit better.
