A wide range of academic sessions are included in the congress, viz. Memorial Lectures, Round Tables, Symposia, Film Exhibitions, Panels, Paper presentations, Poster presentations, Workshops and Book presentations. Additionally, during inaugural and valedictory sessions, distinguished eminent scholars shall deliver keynote addresses. All scholars willing to participate or present their work in any of the academic session have to formally register for participation/ paper presentation with required details for IAC-2025 through the registration form link available at "Registration & Submission" Page.
Participation without presentation (except for Pre-Congress Workshops) is free in IAC-2025, but registrations are mandatory for all.
The congress includes the following Memorial Lectures as part of IAC-2025. As per IAC tradition, eminent scholars will deliver these memorial lectures. The details of these lectures shall be announced shortly. However, the dates and tentative times of the Memorial lectures are as follows:

CALLS AND GUIDELINES
For oral presentations, scholars from any disciplinary background may submit papers relevant to the Congress's theme. IAC-2025 will comfortably arrange around 192 papers presentation with 7-10 minutes time for each approximately. Please refer to the information provided under ‘REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION’ page for submission of papers. The interested scholars have to formally register for paper presentation with submission of abstract paper for IAC-2025 through the registration form link available at 'REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION' Page.
Paper presentations will be allowed for registered participants only.
Note:
The papers will be selected on the basis of their relevance to the congress and quality by the academic/ scientific committee. Full papers and/or abstracts submitted by the scholars will be examined for this purpose. Each scholar may be given a maximum of 10 minutes for oral presentation.
The details of accepted papers for oral presentations will be published on Notice Board in phases.
Scholars may send 'Panel Proposals' in the prescribed formats for presentation. IAC-2025 will have time and space for organising 16 panels. Panels will be selected based on their relevance to the theme of the congress and quality by the academic/ scientific committee. The Panel Sessions will be organised for a time duration of 01 hour or 1.5 hours at maximum and and parallel sessions will be arranged for the presentation of the paper in panel by the candidates in 10 minutes. Each Panel may accommodate 4 papers with an average time of 15 minutes each including discussions. Convening of Panels and presentation of paper in Panels will be allowed for registered participants only.
Poster presentations
Scholars may send posters in the prescribed formats for presentation. 30-45 posters will be selected based on their relevance to the theme of the congress and quality. Posters selected by the Academic/ Scientific Committee (Posters) will be grouped by key interest area, and parallel sessions will be arranged for the presentation of the poster by the candidates in 5-7 minutes. The objective is to briefly present the background of the research and provide the main points about the poster. The researchers interested in poster presentation may send in the abstracts of their paperwork for preliminary screening by the organizers and may submit final posters with given specifications:

Book presentations
Authors of the books related to the theme of the congress may present their books. Only 4-5 book presentations will be selected by the scientific committee (Book Presentations). Each scholar may be given 15-20 minutes for presentation. Scholars (other than those invited by the organizing committee) interested in presenting books are also required to submit a brief abstract of the book within the timelines suggested and register for the congress.

Film exhibitions
Film Exhibitions will be scheduled on two days (parallel sessions) during the Congress. Documentaries and films of research of anthropological interest and those dealing with contemporary sociocultural issues may be submitted. Audio-visual productions produced recently will be given priority. Participants interested in Film Exhibitions need to register and submit a brief outline of the production covering the following:
Title in original language & English; Abstract in about 350 words; Details of production (year, country and address); Contact details; Link to the movie, Password to access the server where the movie can be made available, if necessary.
Film exhibitions will be allowed for registered participants only.

Symposia
Scholars can propose to organize a symposium of a duration of about 90 minutes, where four coordinated presentations on a single topic are expected. Each speaker in the session may be allowed about 10-15 minutes time for presentation with an additional time of five minutes for discussion. The session organizers are required to submit a proposal to the scientific committee within the timelines fixed. The proposals should contain the following details:
Title of the symposium
Brief synopsis containing the significance of the topic, current relevance and its relationship to the theme of the congress. (350 words)
Proposed speakers and their institutional affiliations
The organizing committee expects all the participants of the symposia, including the organizer, to register for the congress. The scholars who propose to organize symposia may refer to ‘REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION’ page.
Symposia Organisation will be allowed for registered participants only.

Scholars can propose to organize a Round Table during the congress. The organizers are expected to choose topics of contemporary interest and select speakers who are experts in the area to present different viewpoints on the selected topic. The session organizers are required to submit a proposal to the scientific committee within the timelines fixed. The proposals should contain the following details:
Title of the Round Table
Brief synopsis highlighting the contemporary relevance of the topic and the different views and contestations on the topic (250 words)
Proposed speakers, their institutional affiliations and brief CVs

Round Table Sessions will be allowed for registered convenors and participants only.

Scholars may propose to organize workshops that would benefit students in learning advanced methods and/or theory in any specialized discipline. These workshops can be organized 1-2 days prior to the formal inauguration of the Congress, i.e. on February 19-20, 2025. The Organizers of the Congress will provide the facilities like lecture cum demonstration rooms and others to the organizer of the workshop besides accommodation for the student participants on nominal charges. All the students who would like to take part in the Workshops need to register for the Congress through ‘REGISTRATION & SUBMISSION’ page.
All pre-Congress workshops are paid. Interested participants have to pay 'workshop fee' separately in addition to 'registration fee' for IAC-2025.
Pre-Workshop Sessions will be allowed for registered convenors and participants only.
