Conference Background and Purpose
The symposium "Bryological Advances in Asia and Beyond" aims to bring together bryologists, ecologists, conservationists, and plant scientists from around the world to share recent findings, foster collaboration, and identify future directions for research and conservation. By highlighting both regional discoveries and global perspectives, the conference seeks to bridge gaps between disciplines and geographical regions, promote knowledge exchange, and support the next generation of bryophyte researchers.
Conference Theme
The theme of the symposium, "Bryological Advances in Asia and Beyond", reflects the growing momentum and expanding frontiers of bryophyte research across Asia and the wider world. This meeting will focus on recent advances in taxonomy, systematics, molecular biology, ecology, conservation, and biogeography of bryophytes. By bringing together researchers from diverse regions and disciplines, the symposium aims to highlight regional discoveries, cross-border collaborations, and the global relevance of bryophyte studies. Through sharing cutting-edge research and innovative approaches, the conference seeks to foster dialogue, inspire future research directions, and contribute to a deeper understanding of bryophyte diversity and its ecological significance.

Abstracts for this symposium should be submitted in English and limited to 200 words.
The symposium will be conducted primarily in English.
Submissions that do not conform to the required format may be returned for revision. With the author’s permission, the organizing committee may assist in making necessary adjustments.
For accepted papers, at least one author must be registered and present at the conference.
A "Certificate of Presentation" will be provided at the time of registration, along with a receipt for the registration fee.

The original deadline for abstract submission was June 30. To encourage more high-quality contributions, the Organizing Committee has decided to extend the submission deadline by two weeks, until July 14.

Once your registration form has been reviewed, we will send you a payment invoice via PayPal to the email address you provided after 30 May.
Participants from Mainland China must complete paperwork to obtain an entry permit for Taiwan. We will extend the early-bird deadline to August 31 for these participants.
IAB Support for Student Participation
The IAB proposes to support a number of students to attend the TAIWAN CONGRESS in October 2025. An amount of $2,000 has been allocated and will be distributed according to the number and quality of applications. Preference will be given to students from emerging countries and those far from Taiwan, as well as those with limited means who propose an oral or poster presentation.
