TROY'S TRAIL
JUNE IS HYDROCEPHALUS & SPINA BIFIDA AWARENESS MONTH.
WALKING on behalf of everyone and their families in Sault Ste. Marie who are affected by Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus.
Our goal is to create community awareness about these two conditions.
Sault Ste. Marie is among 20 communities across Canada who participate in the annual walk, wheel and run event!
Spirit Wheel Walk Run (SWWR) events are held throughout June, in celebration of Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus Month to increase awareness in local communities. All proceeds benefit Hydrocephalus programs, services and support. SWWR events are fun and easy to organize.

TROY'S TRAIL is an Annual Spirit Walk that we organized and in 2012. The walk is a community event held down by Clergue Park by the waterfront. It is a place to come and meet with other people who share similar experiences, and bring them together for mutual support, encouragement, comfort, information and positive feedback.
We are committed to reaching out and making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and families who are living with the daily challenges brought on by this serious disabling condition.
Feeling a sense of community (physical and emotional well-being) is essential in providing personal growth, closer inter-personal relationships, and increased self-esteem. Therefore one-on-one personal support is encouraged between individuals with similar experiences to share coping strategies.
