Sault Ste. Marie, ON

Hi my name is Troy I was born 1966

I attended St. Ann's elementary School, St. Mary's and Bawating High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Lake Superior State University.

In July of 1991 I married my high-school sweetheart. We have 2 beautiful and healthy children. Our daughter who was born in 1992, and our son born in 1994.

But early in March of 1994 at the age of 28, i was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus (water on the brain), after taking a seizure in the middle of the night. A VP shunt was put in and so far i have had a total of 9 surgeries and 5 seizures.

Since 2002 I have been on Dilantin anti-seizure medication, as well as Actonel for Osteoporosis. I have undergone many CT Scans, blood tests, x-rays, and physiotherapy.

I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neuralgia in the summer (2009).

My condition has forced me to quit my full time job, allowing me to work the bare minimum of one 4 hour shift a week. I suffer from fatigue, back pain, facial pain, short-term memory loss, and anxiety attacks.

I do not take life or my family and friends for granted. I appreciate the little things in life and make the most of each day. I feel I have been blessed, and thank God for each new day.

The things I enjoy most in life is spending quality time with family and friends, walking, exercising, relaxing in my back yard, having bon fires, listening to music on a daily basis, watching sports, playing euchre, and having a couple of glasses of wine with my wife every evening before bed.
