The Raspberry Pi is a single-board computer based on an ARM processor that is manufactured and sold at a minimal price. The Raspberry Pi exists in several versions and was developed at the University of Cambridge by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The device was intended for educational purposes. Production of the first Raspberry Pi Model B was started on 10 January 2012. Since then, several models and versions have been released.
The hardware of the different versions of the Raspberry Pi is characterized by an open structure that resembles the open structure of the first IBM Personal Computers. The presence of the General Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) bus makes it possible to connect an add-on board to a Raspberry Pi and the presence of Universal Serial Bus (USB) ports, a Display Serial Interface (DSI) and a Camera Serial Interface (CSI) connector make it possible to connect multiple USB devices and a display and a camera to the motherboard. The add-on boards can be easily exchanged as well as the microSD card with the live system and the software.
By the end of 2015, the Raspberry Pi Foundation had developed a range of models and applications with associated add-on boards. The Raspberry Pi 2 B, or RPi 2 for short, was the most sold and used model at the beginning of 2016, and the Raspberry Zero is the smallest and cheapest model to date. The RPi 2 was succeeded by the faster RPi 3 at the beginning of March 2016, which was expanded with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. In addition to being used for educational purposes, the RPi 2 and RPi 3 can also be used as a media center or as a simple desktop computer for light office applications.

We will also look into setting up a web server based on a Raspberry PI 4 or higher. This will allow associations to set up their own web browser presentation at their location. This can then be connected to a monitor or TV via HDMI.
