The continued partnership between the Charleston County Public Library and Charleston County schools have been altered so that families have to opt their students into the Limitless Learning (L2) program. Please read the following information and explore the provided links to ensure that your child has access to both physical and digital materials that can enhance their learning at the Charleston County Library (CCPL) through this fantastic partnership with CCSD.
For those who opt in to the limitless learning program, no physical library card is needed! Students use their CCSD username as their library account number, and the last four digits of their student ID as their password. **NOTE: This username format applies to ALL CCSD schools, including Charter Schools. Contact your student’s school if you do not know their username.
Students opted into L-Squared may check out physical materials at any CCPL branch based on grade level:
Grades K–5: Children’s materials
Grades 6–12: Teen materials and Children’s materials. Parents/guardians of students in grades 6–12 may choose to opt in to additional library access. These options are not automatic and require parental permission. Please visit CCPL's L-Squared page to learn more.
Public computer access at all branches
**NOTE: Teen non-fiction books are catalogued in the Adult section of the library. Therefore, students not opted-in to accessing adult materials will not have access to borrowing teen non-fiction.
Library Username: Your CCSD Student Username
Username Format: First three letters of your last name + first three letters of your first name + last four digits of your student ID number.
Example: For John Doe the username would be: doejoh1234
Library User Password: 1234
