Salvia greggi

This plant was one of the best performers of the 2006 garden season. We planted this in a pot on our deck in the backyard and the hummers visited this regularly for the entire gardening season. Additionally, this plant bloomed for the entire gardening season. We brought the pot into our 3 season room which is at 45 to 50 degrees during the winter. This plant overwintered nicely in 2007 and it bloomed profusely in its second year in a pot. We overwintered this plant inside numerous years in a row and it bloomed nicely every year.

An inexpensive source of another Salvia greggi, 'Wild Thing', is available from Bluestone Perennials:

There are many varieties of Salvia greggi and you should be able to easily find this locally.
