Cuphea 'David Verity'
This is also known as Mexican cigar plant. Although only an annual for us, we would not skip including Cuphea 'David Verity' in our yard. We have grown this both in the ground and in pots, and it is one of the premier hummingbird flowers throughout the entire season. In our neck of the woods, the local nurseries rarely carry this (we did purchase it once from a local nursery). We have relied on mail order nurseries and have ordered this previously from Singing Springs Nursery, however, they have gone out of business.
