Welcome to the Co-op!

Our Purpose at the Co-op is to inspire students to build their confidence and explore their passions in a vibrant nurturing environment that emphasizes community, discovery, and independence.

  

   Aftercare 

Our goal at The Co-op is for your child to participate in project-based activities and play. We provide sports, arts, and enrichment activities necessary to give your child a well-rounded day in a supportive environment. 

    Mon - Tuesday / Thursday -Friday

       3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    Wednesday

        1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

              Project X: Math, English, and Writing intertwined in all our projects. 

           Community - Playground: Time for working on social skills, exploring and having fun!


Study Hall

Study Hall is a time for students K - 5th grade to focus on expanding and building upon thier academic program from the school day, receiving additional practices, and specialty classes for intervention for skill-building. Include online learning practice using one of our robust digital learning platforms, small group instruction, reading groups, and math groups.




Mon - Tuesday / Thursday - Friday

3:00 pm - 3:15 pm: Transition to Expanded Learning Classrooms / Snack

      3:15 pm - 4:00 pm: Study Hall

   Specialty Classes

  Our specialty classes are to expose and learn mastery. Classes such as art, language, music, science, technology, adventure learning, and sports allow children to explore who they are and find Inspiration. Our goal is to have an array of specialty classes for our students taught by passionate and talented artists, linguists, scientists, musicians, and athletes. Our specialty classes are available to all students - from kindergarten through fifth grade. Classes are first   come first serve. There is no aftercare charge for students before their enrichment classes. Students not enrolled in aftercare that need aftercare following enrichment classes, please email kmireles@hightechhigh.org to set up payment arrangements.



     Camp

The Co-op Camps are open spaces to create, play, explore, and socialize. We turn every opportunity into a growth moment where campers can always find an activity that sparks their curiosity.

      Do I need to sign-up for The Co-op Aftercare program?

The Morning / Aftercare program is a K-5 program intended for working families who need supervision for their child(ren) before and after school. The HTe programs are optional services.



                                                       What are the HTe program hours?

Morning Care: 7:15 am- 7:50 am (The office is closed during morning care hours)



Aftercare: (The office is closed during aftercare hours)

HTePL: (Mon - Tuesday / Thursday - Friday) 3:00 pm - 5:59 pm (Wednesdays) 1:00 pm - 5:59 pm



     What does the Morning Care program look like? 

Morning care is supervision only with minimal activities and free play. Program hours are from 7:15 am - 7:50 am.



How do Parents / Students sign-in for morning care?

 Between 7:15 am - 7:50 am. Parents/Students will walk in and sign in at the lunch tables.



   How do I sign-out my child(ren) from Aftercare?

Students in attendance can be picked up anytime within program hours of operation. All individuals picking up students must come through the main door and show a valid ID (any form of identification that includes the individual’s full name and a clear and current picture). Please keep in mind students are packing up, saying goodbye to friends, cleaning up activities, and will be in different areas and may take more than 5 minutes for students to make their way to the front.




     May I stay and watch my child(ren) play even if they are not enrolled in the program?                               

No, you must pick your child(ren) after school and leave the playground area or you will be charged as a drop-in.



Does HTe provide extra support for students?

HTe does not receive extra resources to support students who need additional accommodations.



Health and Safety:

     If a student is unwell, a parent will be notified to come pick up their child. Unwell students will wait in the healing room behind the front desk,  supervised by an aftercare staff.

We recommend families pack their student's weather-appropriate clothing (closed-toe shoes, jackets/sweaters/hats/ spf/ extra snacks)



 What are the Program Fees?

The HTe program requires fees from all families in order for their child(ren) to participate.

*Subject to annual qualification.  




Drop Ins

 Families can email the Aftercare Coordinator and child's teacher on which day(s) their child will be utilizing aftercare drop-in services. Please add the child's full name and grade to the email. You will receive a drop-in service form with dates and payment information that needs to be filled out and returned. 



What if I have a non authorized pick -up?

We understand that, due to unforeseen circumstances, there may be times when you may need to rely on a trusted adult who is not authorized for pick-up. For any temporary authorization, we require written notice via email to Acrespo@hightechhigh.org to release your child. This email must come from one of your listed email addresses in PowerSchool. Please provide the full name of the authorized adult, the date, the child's full name, the teacher, and the grade. Kindly advise the adult who will be picking up your child to be prepared to present a valid I.D.



What are the drop-in Fees?

(Mon - Tuesday / Thursday - Friday) - $25 per student per day

(Wednesdays) - $35 per student per day.



What is the pick-up window before being charged for Aftercare?

Families have a 15 minute pick-up window from dismissal before a fee is...

(Mon - Tuesday / Thursday - Friday) 2:45 pm - 3:00 pm. (Wednesdays). 12:45 pm - 1:00 pm.



What is the late-pick up fee after 5:59 pm?

$1 per minute per child after program hours.

When are fees due?

Fees for annual plans are paid on a monthly basis. Due dates for annual plan payments: The last payment will be the last day of school. Any missed payments will be extended till debt is up to date.



Where would I find my invoice?

An invoice is sent via email through Square Inc. to the email provided on your HTe enrollment form.



Where can I find my unpaid/paid invoices or statements?

Through Square Inc. or you can contact Aide the Aftercare Coordinator at acrespo@hightechhigh.org to request invoices or statements.



What happens if I forget to pay my invoice?

Late Fee Policy 

30 days past due: If your account is 30 days past due, families will receive a written notice and we will give families 30 days to bring accounts to current.

60+ days past due: Fees not paid within 60 days and failure to make payments or set up a payment plan will result in a meeting with your child(ren) being withdrawn from the program, and families or emergency contacts will be contacted for pick-up.



How do I set-up a payment plan?

     How can I disenroll my child?

Send an email to Aide the Aftercare Coordinator at acrespo@hightechhigh.org tstating you would like to discontinue services.

Does HTe have specialty classes? 

HTe provides specialty classes from outside vendors like art, foreign language, music, science, technology, adventure learning, and sports. Classes are first come first serve.



How do I sign up for specialty classes?

An email will be sent with a link for enrollment. All classes are first come first serve. 



SLC Week

An email will be sent with enrollment information two weeks before SLC week (the day of your child's SLC has no fee). Part-time aftercare students that may need to attend the rest of the week, registration will be needed.  Due to limited staffing and space, aftercare can not accommodate all students for the SLC week. Any students who do not have a parent account setup/payment will not be able to attend aftercare. Full-time aftercare participants can disregard this information. ( No Study Hall / Enrichment this week)



Conferences:

An email will be sent with enrollment information two weeks before conferences.(the day of your child's conference has no fee) 

Full-time aftercare participants can disregard this information. 



Private Conference:

If aftercare is needed and you have arranged a private conference, please email Aide the Aftercare Coordinator at acrespo@hightechhigh.org tand the student's teacher so we can add the student to our aftercare roster.
