0.7 The Community Canvas Framework
Throughout this document and the associated recommendations, I have attempted to ground my thinking in a few frameworks, primarily the Community Canvas Framework (CCF).
The CCF breaks down thinking about community into 17 interconnected themes across three areas - Identity, Experience, and Structure. When looking at the design of the CCF, one can see that the Identity themes are in the center and connect out to all other themes. The "Experience" themes rest atop and are supported by the "Structure" themes.
The following chapters are loosely arranged according to these themes; however, due to the huge amount of interplay between them, it has occasionally been more convenient to group themes from different areas together. There are some themes (specifically to do with the financial or hierarchical organization of the community) that are not especially relevant to the case of HPL and are thus omitted.
