Each year, HPILS accepts application for Auction Committee Chairs. Positions include:
Auction Coordinator(s): sets the calendar and deadlines, makes reservations with vendors, generally oversees the progress of the auction committee
Solicitations Chair(s): coordinates canvasing and phone banking, collects tax forms from donors, creates thank you list of donors
Logistics Chair: created and maintains electronic postings of donated auction items, back of the house inventory management, registration instructions, mail-out procedures
Promotions Chair: creates graphics including flyers and social media postings, sends auction promotions to current students and alumni, creates and publishes auction program
Day-Of Chair: set up of virtual auction space, coordinates music/DJ and other entertainment, organizes registration/check-in, coordinated cash out procedures
Post-Auction Chair: sends thank you cards to donors with tax forms, mails auction items to winning bidders
Assist the Auction Committee with various task throughout the year.
Solicitations: participate in canvasing and phone banks to find businesses and individuals to donate items to the auction
Logistics: create graphics for electronic postings on the Auction site, help with back of the house inventory management
Day-of Team: help with the set up and break down of auction, assist with registration/check in, monitor auction winners
Post-Auction Team: help write and send thank you cards to donors, help mail auction items to winning bidders
