What is HPILS?

The Howard Public Interest Law Society (HPILS) is a student organization that exists to support the legacy of social engineering at Howard Law. Our mission is to (1) maintain awareness at the law school about important social, economic, and political issues that affect the general interest of humanity; (2) strengthen the support of Howard University School of Law students seeking careers in public interest law; and (3) increase financial and career opportunities for public interest law students.

How to Join HPILS

  1. Be a HUSL student

  2. Attend an HPILS event or General Body Meeting to learn more about our organization

  3. Pay your dues ($15) via CashApp ($hpilsorg) or Venmo (@HPILS_HULaw)
