This world is a contraction of the word "Hyperoxia", which means an excess or abundance of oxygen, and the number "39" from its oxygen percentage of around 39%

The time will be measured in P.D. ( Post Deployment ), which means the amount of time in years that has passed after the first arthropod was seeded on Hoxia, ie. Deadrunner existed approx 11 MY (million years ) P.D.
The epochs of this planet are primarily named after when life figures out a new biological innovation for gigantism emerges and becomes largely widespread, rather then being named after major environment events in the biosphere.
