In the prior lesson, you learned about the two types of links you can add in the digital library map: internal links and external links, along with scenarios where each type is appropriate.
In this lesson, you’ll take the next step in editing the library map by learning how to attach updated versions of the map to update the printed library map in brochure format.
If you haven’t done so yet, please download (1) the PowerPoint file that contains the editable library map. You should also download (2) the PowerPoint file that includes the map in the brochure layout, as you’ll need both for this lesson. As you go through the lesson, try to follow along by editing the map in PowerPoint using the steps demonstrated in the video.
In this lesson, you learned that to insert the updated map into the printable brochure, you need to follow 3 easy steps:
Open the PPT file that contains the updated library map and the PPT file that contains the map in brochure layout.
Select the updated map by highlight it, then copy.
Go to the brochure PPT > right-click the existing map > change picture > from clipboard.
TIP: If you're using an older version of PowerPoint and don't see the "Save as PDF" option, you can use free online tools like iLovePDF to convert the PPT to PDF.
Let’s put your new skills to the test! Answer the following questions to review what you’ve learned in this lesson.
