Imagine this: A patron walks into the library. They zigzag through the stacks, go up and down the stairs, doubling back, scanning signs with a puzzled look. They seem lost, and honestly, who can blame them? The Miller Memorial Library is a massive and confusing space. It’s tempting to hand over the library map or show them the digital map and move on with your day. But there’s a problem: the current map is outdated.
Chances are, you don’t have to imagine this at all, you see it happen every day. If that’s the case, then this course is for you.
After completing this short course, you will be able to update both the printed and digital library map. Specifically, you will be able to:
Outline the steps involved in editing the library map.
Determine which actions to take based on the needs of a specific scenario.
Create an updated version of the printed and digital library map based on a given scenario by applying the established steps.
