Lord, thank you for the beautiful people You’ve made. Thank you for the hearts You’ve given us for our neighbors. I pray we continue forth in courage, arm in arm, to show the world the kind of love and mercy You have shown us. I pray for divine protection over the mothers and fathers who worry. I pray peace over them that comes through Your presence. I claim with authority that good will always triumph over evil. There is no darkness that You cannot light up. I pray for advocates to be granted wisdom and resolve to stand in the face of tyranny and not back down.

God of all people, we live in a world that feels taken over by fear and anger. In such a

time and place too many people get forgotten, discarded, pushed aside, and treated as

if they do not matter. Touch their lives, O God, and assure them that they are loved by

you, their beloved Creator. Touch the hearts of those who perpetrate anger and fear,

and help them to realize that all people are sacred, worthy of love and acceptance.
