1986年3月に茨城県の県立高校を卒業し、ソフトウェア開発企業にエンジニアとして就職しました。その後、時を経てマネジメント職に就くにつれ、マネジメントに関する知識が絶対的に不足していることに気づき、2002年の秋から、働きながら大学（通信教育）でマネジメントを学ぶことにしました。卒論は、ある企業の経営分析と業務改善提案をテーマにしました。

　卒論をご指導くださった教授に勧めていただいたこともあり、2007年春から大学院MBAコースに身を置き、管理会計分野を中心に、さらにマネジメントを学びました。修士論文相当の成果物では、学部卒論と同様にある企業の経営分析と業務改善提案、そして分析モデルの改良をテーマにしました。

　MBAコース在籍中に研究者の道を志すようになり、2009年春から大学院博士後期課程での研究を始めました。プレイングマネジャーと研究者という二足の草鞋を履く生活は、決して楽なものではありませんでしたが、指導教授（亜細亜大学・大島正克教授）の熱心なご指導により、何とか博士学位の取得に至りました。

　2012年春から、産業能率大学情報マネジメント学部で研究者の末席に身を置かせていただき、2017年春からは、現職の東洋大学国際観光学部に所属しています。

After graduating from a senior high school in Ibaraki Prefecture in March 1986, I started working as a systems engineer at a software development company. Over time, as I moved into management positions, I realized that my knowledge of management was absolutely lacking. So in the fall of 2002, I decided to study management at a university (distance learning) while working. My thesis was on the theme of management analysis and business improvement proposals for a company.

As recommended by the professor who supervised my thesis, I enrolled in a graduate MBA course in the spring of 2007, focusing on the field of management accounting and further studying management. As in my undergraduate thesis, my master's thesis focused on business analysis of a company, proposals for business improvement, and improvement of the analysis model.

While I was enrolled in the MBA course, I began to aspire to become a professor, and in the spring of 2009, I began my doctoral studies at the graduate school. It was not an easy life for me to "wear two hats", one as a playing manager and the other as a doctoral student, but with the enthusiastic guidance of my supervisor (Professor Dr. Masakatsu OSHIMA of Asia University), I managed to obtain my doctoral degree.

In the spring of 2012, I became a professor at the Faculty of Management and Information Science, Sanno University, and in the spring of 2017, I joined the Faculty of International Tourism Management, Toyo University, where I currently work.

サウナの流行にのって、サウナに通いまくってます。そこで趣味と実益を兼ねて、サウナに関する様々な事柄を研究し、国内や海外の学会で研究成果を発表しています。この分野に興味のある学生には、ぜひ手伝ってもらいたいと思っています。
Also, recently, I have been going to saunas a lot because of the sauna craze. So, as a hobby and for practical use, I have been researching various matters related to saunas and presenting the results of my research at conferences in Japan and abroad. I am looking for students who are interested in this field to help me.
