Located in the Town Forest, on a trail west of Pond Street, this was the site of the Caffery family home. Scottish immigrants, John Caffery and four of his family were listed on the first US Census in 1790. By January 1796, all but John had passed away. The site can be reached via a short uphill walk from the trailhead on Pond Street, opposite Erika Drive. It can also be accessed from the north, parking at a small lot on Pond Street and following the Red Trail south. More information is available here. The sign was installed by Harrison Bograd for his Eagle Scout project.
