With connections to Hopkinton's boot-making industry and Salem's witch trials, this site offers a wealth of history. Located just a few steps from the road, it's easy to visit via a stone dust path between 58 and 60 Chamberlain Street. Look for a broken iron feather and wedge still lodged in one of the stones in the southeast corner of the foundation, left there when the rock was split.
The site was cleared and cleaned up in a series of workdays by trail volunteers, and the sign was installed by Harrison Bograd for his Eagle Scout project.
