Why Should You Join the PTA?
The number one reason to join the Hopewell PTA is to benefit your child.
But there are many other advantages too;

There is no better way to know what's happening in your child's school than volunteering.

Connect with other parents. When you come to meetings, volunteer at school and take part in PTA events – you’ll get to know fellow Hopewell parents who can offer friendship and support for your kids’ education.

By getting involved you'll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. The PTA plays an important role by supporting building improvements through advocacy and play an important role in fundraising for curriculum based programs and social events.

Your voluntary PTA membership costs $12 per person each year.

Can anyone become a member?
Yes. All Hopewell families and staff are welcome to be member of the PTA.
I joined last year – do I need to join again?
Yes. We ask all parents and teachers/staff to renew each year, as we run our PTA programs on an annual basis.
Can I make a donation to the PTA?
Absolutely! Donations to the PTA, either for the general fund or for a specific purpose, are always welcome.
If I join, am I obligated to volunteer and attend all meetings?
While we depend on volunteers to run our programs and we greatly appreciate their time, we understand that not all families have this flexibility. You are not required to volunteer or attend PTA meetings – but we’d love it if you did!

For questions regarding school policies, procedures, and schedule, please contact the main office.
What is the time commitment if I join the PTA?
However you choose to PTA is up to you. PTA offers all parents and caregivers the opportunity to be engaged in their child’s potential. You can simply purchase a membership each year and that’s all the involvement to which you’re obligated. You can also volunteer at school events, volunteer to chair a committee, or hold PTA leadership roles – the level of involvement is up to you. There is no wrong way to PTA!
What’s the best way to get information about the PTA?
Sign up to be a PTA member on our website, and you will get periodic emails with updates throughout the year. It’s also a good idea to follow the Hopewell PTA page on Facebook. You’ll also get a weekly Friday newsletter from Pleasant Valley where PTA information is usually included.
