Where: Eleuthera, Bahamas Dates: June 1-7, 2025
Everyday we were given the opportunity to serve at Camp Bahamas. This trip, we were scraping rust from some storage spaces, creating water tight roofs, cleaning, and clearing brush by the zip line. Each morning we would have breakfast, go over work projects, and go out to work. The reason we work at the Camp is so Bahamian youth from all islands can learn about Jesus all the while making memories in a safe place with people who love them.
Following our project efforts, we'd venture into the small community of Palmetto Point in Eleuthera, sharing the gospel of Jesus with its people. Engaging in prayer walks, spending time with the children, and spreading love among the locals became our routine. This gave us hope that by consistently returning to Eleuthera, we can forge stronger connections and manifest the love of Jesus through these lasting relationships.
After serving for a week at camp, we always like to have our groups explore the island a little bit. This year we did something a little different for our fun day and took the group to Spanish Wells. There, they got to go on a boat to swim with sea turtles, feed sting rays, swim with pigs, go on some golf cart rides, and eat some yummy food. It was a great way to end our trip by getting to see/experience more of the island.
This is the video we created for the 2025 Missions Trip to Eleuthera.
