Hoovers Best Armed Platoon and Best Unarmed Platoon participated in the Best Drilled Competition hosted by Patrick Henry High School. Our teams placed 1st for Best Armed Platoon and 3rd for Best Unarmed Platoon. Both Color Guards  placed 2nd overall. LET 1,2 and 3 placed 1st place in BDI.

On December 7th, our Color Guard, UDT and ADT teams participated in the annual Sweetwater Drill Meet at Sweetwater Union High School. Our Color Guard Novice 1 placed 1st place along side Varsity. Our Varsity Armed Drill Team placed 2nd. Most of our teams placed within top 5.

Each year our battalion staff helps to provide over eight thousand pounds of food raised by our cadets over the month of December. 

SY 25-26 Our Academic Team placed 4th in finals within the San Diego Unified School District Brigade system.

On September 13th, 2025, cadets from our battalion attended the annual Cadet Picnic event against other JROTC schools in the SDUSD Brigade. Our cadets participated in games like egg relay, hot shot, tank tube, sack relay, and a talent show.

Beginning on September 1st-20th, cadets will have a chance to expand their knowledge on stationary movements, basic drill, and etiquette. These skills will help them improve in our battalion and they can all shine in their ways.
