The little boy from mumbai who grew up to be a cricket legend...there will never be another tendulkar...every one at home (India) knows that on any given day there will NEVER be a better batsman on the cricket pitch...there will never be a bigger representation of Indian talent...and there will never be a bigger representation of silent will that is the Indian way of life.
This world cup was played for one boy alone...the way it was played...the way things were destined...one boy busy praying for his teammates while they won the world cup...one boy who was carried on the team's shoulders as a mark of respect probably knowing that he may never play another one again...they say its team sport...while every Indian in ANY match with any opposing team always prays for the good of one player only...and that is sachin...truth be told...they pray in every match for the entire team to win...however there is always a corner in thier heart's that wants to see this boy excel every time he walks out ot the middle of the pitch.
Today, many a heart wants to know where this boy is headed...many feel he should be same way as he was when he dispatched a pakistani player for 3 sixes on three consecutive balls because he called this boy a "bachcha"...well the "bachcha" not only retired that player but also grew up to be our one and only in terms of cricketing parlance.
I hope in the days to come that he makes his 100th 100...but then so do 1.2 billion hearts in India...it would be great to watch that day of destiny...it would be even better to watch him do it at his choice of stadium and his choice of opponent...there is never a doubt that this little boy can turn the game at any time at any place because he is in so many ways...simply sachin!
And the little master has done it....100 100's in first class cricket...!!!
