The AGRA MAV summit cap on my head...!!! This was of course borrowed from the people who won the best hovering aircraft award...can you believe they won the award while competing with heavy weights like MIT from the USA. These guys do pioneering work in the field of aerospace engineering. Their accomplishments of late include a fully autonomous flight vehicle based on a GPS and INS platform. I think this page would not be complete without mention of my guru at IIT Bombay Dr. Hemendra Arya who gave me a second chance at life by granting me work at IITB.
The newer generation of IIT Aero graduates are now trying to work on co-operative flying...in this concept only one aircraft of a group has core intelligence to fly the group...all other aircraft just follow the leader with no ground control what-so-ever...this concept extends to that of a wolf pack...once the "lead" aircraft is destroyed, another picks up from where the first one "left" the group...!!! Its a very cool concept.
There may even be a strong chance that i might get an opportunity to enroll for a PhD...but as they say at IITB..if you think getting in is difficult, try getting out...!!! Not that one is scared of going back to school...i think im a little lazier now than i used to be...and i used to be really really lazy back then...!!!
This is my team at work trying to give me a "hint"
Between marriage and PhD it seems a distributed computing approach to integrated game graphics is taking shape :) maybe someday we get kids from Pak to fly against the kids from here all over the net with a good bandwidth...! Virtually slit throats...! Blair is back at nova-world only this time it looks like IITB-Nova-World :)
Given the progress of analytics over the years i have a complaint with Google...i do not see updates of visits to my site any more...wonder if i pushed the buttons too far with respect to the pointed write up :) I take you down the only road i've ever been down...bitter sweet symphony...!
The latest news:
The simplicity of environmental analysis is that we are all aware of whats going to eventually happen...if one takes a city...any city in the world and tries to analyze its temperature every year...its going to look like a sine wave that is increasing in amplitude with every passing year... the summers are hotter...the winters are cooler...and all in all we choose to turn a blind eye toward the fact that eventually this is going to affect generations to come adversely.
Take for example the communications industry...its so cool that we are able to get cell phone users by the millions every year and still not pay attention to the radiation that these devices cause on account of "connectivity"...they radiate night and day (hardly any one ever keeps their cell phones off)...the pollution cloud in the cities never allows for the radiation to escape...the satellites radiate toward earth night and day and all this in order to keep our silly little society "connected". With all this frying of the atmosphere we choose to conveniently ignore the after effects of our decisions...technology should be thought right and only let out in the open if it is thought through for the next 5 generations...i know i know...using them cellphone towers for air defense, GPS, tunnel in the sky flight guidance, any altitude cruise weapons guidance, satellite positioning, accurate anti-satellite laser positioning, theater high altitude air defense laser positioning etc. due to them being the largest differential stack in the country, was my little head...but the downside has kept that from happening... tackle the heat...the heart treats you right...!!!
Well those higher in the food chain are singing "Gagan pe sitare lapete hue"...what can i say except..."go/no-go is a go flight"...try not to fry the atmosphere too much...its getting hotter down here...!!! The beauty of this whole concept is that we can try it at a tenth of the cost that the others in the loop can...the truth about the system is that the stack is getting really really popular among all kinds of users...ten years ago it was as bad as 1 satellite every 2 degrees...now i can only imagine how the stack must look today...!!!
They came asking whether its going to end as meltdown or ice age...took a microsecond to think...and said first meltdown and then ice age...the game is on the brink and mankind is going to lose its mind seeing whats coming for it...! and as those words from the movie batman ring into my mind....don't bloody tell me i didn't tell you so :) Those puzzle books from childhood still hold good with the angels it seems :)
The "latest" in nanotech...trackers for people...small nanotech biomems and even electronics...redeployed as satellite feed captures...this nano satellite hooks on to an existing sat...very small in nature...so no change in mass registered on telemetry...redirects all traffic over microwave or even optical feed to a nearby bird all so intellgently that the people watching the sats are not even aware of the dock, diversion of traffic or even lost/compromised data links...so if you think you're really an american "superman"...i think you're not the only one :) we're watching you watching us...!!! poor little not so free "spirit" never had an "opportunity". (@Mars-scape :) )
Just got back to IITB...it is so wonderful to meet the team which is still hard at work trying to go to the next level of play...I present an image of the "keys" to my old work place :) ...of course they changed the locks and threw them keys away after i left :) ...its all finger print identification now...!!!
Right from school days we had been collecting "Cub" and "Sanctuary" magazines as kids...nature used to fascinate us so much that we took the first opportunity to join the "nature club" integrated with the "world wildlife fund"...as toddlers we never imagined the impact of an environmental decision...sad part is that even as full grown adults we still dont...!!! The cities have grown...the fields have moved into the former forest land and the forest's have shrunk even further...so while all this development is going on...whos keeping an eye...??? sadly nobody...even today as many as 70 rivers in my state have dried up due to sand dredging and there is no accountability on whos to be held responsible...we are advancing as mankind...what about all other species in the book...??? "Save the tiger" it seems...where is he supposed to get food...who is going to teach him to hunt if all we do is bring them up in zoos...We need a new environmental policy...something with teeth...something that will ensure the survival of all species while mankind goes about its crazy wars and destruction...found this rather cute snap on facebook....could not resist writing...!
Hmm...so it seems we are losing out to the newer cheaper markets on jobs that have predominantly "been" Indian... take for example the call center market...the guys gave us the idea to have call centers in India because they thought we could wrap around that accent easily...well i say say good bye to the whole voice...! Lets just get a few hundred voices per country and hand over the "speaking" to a relatively moderate speech engine...let the voice box do the talking while the operator does the typing :) I know its an old concept and can have bad impact if not used properly...but then the guys do it at all levels of play anyways...so big deal if they hear an american voice on an Indian line :) Its time for them to not know the difference...i guess eliza grew up somewhere all by herself :) !!!
So i was reading up on the VW boys getting kicked here there and everywhere...its not that i feel that they cheated/didn't cheat...its what we have been saying all along...tech should be thought over before it is released to the public...saw a video on you tube where they were actually "popping" corn using older cell phones...kind of odd that nobody wants to kill the cancer causing radiation...this radiation signature is killing the ice in places we have never even heard...its going to drown us and there is no place on earth that will escape the flood. Here is sample image of how much skin depth is visible for differently aged people...! (study is done in the US...!!!) Cant revert the change or can we...? Is there a communications firm that will make their radiation readings truly public without manipulation...would take balls now wouldn't it :) The americans may be looking at a bill a LOT bigger than VW :)
These wings belonged to Flying Officer Sanjeev M Mujumdar...or in short as i would call him "sanju mama"...i was really small when we got news that he died in an air force crash...it is sad that through the years all of us kids were "grounded" so far as the air force was concerned...alternative professions by generation-next have gone so far off the track that today very few kids from good families are known to join the forces these days...it is already drilled into them that life is very tough, the pay is not enough, ragging in the early days of college is very severe, the climb to high ranks is not fast, one has to pay money after even qualifying the entrance exam etc. etc. all excuses for physically and mentally unfit youngsters whose mouths are bigger than their worth...so i guess the question still remains...how does one serve one's country without having to "prove" that they've done so...lets assume that the guys have known that the F-16's can heat up our Mig's if they get too close...or well at least someone at Rolla seemed to have hinted so...blame the rivet's in the engine compartment, blame the over zealousness of the wing man...blame the whole system for putting one little boy in that situation where he had to put lives of the villagers below before his own safety...blame it on the machine for it caught fire and he could not eject before hitting the earth below...blame it on the pilot's these days for their so called incompetence...easily said than done...why don't you give the little boy his dues...a little silence and a little respect for coming home in a state where he could not even be recognized for he was so badly burnt...many years later a batch mate came home calling on the father of this young officer...he came home looking for a tiger they said...the tiger was long gone...the t-rex (me) lays in wait...for it is his turn to do the rest.
The search for structures that can support technology has been on for many many years now...the important thing being stuff that can be made available with minimum change to the existing structure. So if you consider the railway line between two mountains...you will notice that it behaves as a superb antenna...there is hardly any competition in terms of a straight line conductor that is so long and provides a standing wave ratio that big any where in the country...! This can be used to say enhance long wavelength communication for deep space or with filtering basically any frequency that is in need of an antenna that long.
So while driving to school from home...i noticed this huge fifty foot sign saying "Exit for Whiteman 500m"...didn't say anything to the crowd in the vehicle at that time...many people feel that the B2's are flying out of there now...back then when the program was just about beginning to be known, the cost of the craft had gone up 500 mil just because all states were supposed to participate in the manufacturing process...at 2 billion a piece i have often wondered how this dummy could on a normal day go undetected...then a simple thought crossed my mind...if it costs 2K mil...there is no way they are going to send it into foreign airspace without knowing where this baby is all the time...maybe not horizontal...maybe a gimbal stabilized pure vertical comm system that doesn't always communicate all the time :) further thought process brought up a better idea...what if the purely land based systems like the cell phone towers were tied to a satellite...maybe in the jumble of all the voices...this baby might absorb everything...but then again..."everything" is subjective...resonance of the skin is a sad thing for this baby...every skin has a frequency response...well anyways...one thought led to another...finally came up thinking of just having a bird watch the runway and etch those wings in the wind :) you can go anywhere but the wind will always know :)
In today's conventional air-frames, we have the age old concepts of fixed aerodynamic surfaces for creating lift, turn, drag etc...we are fast approaching a new world order where there is no need for a delivery system to be made up of the "usual" stuff...imagine a smart skin which could retract a fin as and when needed to cause lift, turn, drag...better yet why not have a really smart skin and forget about the deflection surfaces completely...we could create outward "bump" on the missiles or aircraft's body...at that speed it would change the aerodynamics enough for the change in attitude...it would not even register on radar as a reflective surface...the entire flight would be configured as a single body which flies to its destination without ever being seen by the enemy radar...because there are no reflective surfaces...!!! Now only if we could some how smoke the exhaust into a cryogenic container :) no heat signatures either...!!!
And so while studying the basics of communication systems we noticed that the miracle of being in a certain band allows you to communicate to the "stars" as they call them...each one having a name on that cartoon network...until we decided that nano-lites were invading our communications and diverting them to nearby stars for other countries to decode...so a proposal by a graduate student to his boss went as such...how about a satellite minefield...launch in your own airspace...and maintain position until all the other satellites come around and they will due to their need to maintain their vectors and speed...and crash into the mines one by one....sweet the grad student thought...boss quickly cut the conversation saying taking out a satellite is an act of war :) given that the boss had more knowledge back then the graduate student smiled and let it go...until he found out about the grid that controlled the matrix and did not tell his boss :)
Imagine a world where a supercomputer works out the bonding of chemicals and spits out a new set of chemical compounds not even yet discovered by mankind...its not too far off...the upcoming quantum computing world will change the rate at which we make decisions....the sheer speed of achieving results of computation will change the applications and the nature of the laws that govern computing today...i had suggested to my cousin once a long time ago about this concept that came to mind...he laughed it off back then ...but i think there is a bit of reality to it...the new order is coming and with it a whole new way of looking at stuff...we in the cybersecurity world are very very nervous that the protocols in effect today will no longer be applicable for future computing...im sure that there will be a new set of protocols to meet that level of computing...but today's day and age are about to be extinct in the computing world...having said that they are trying to break the matrix codes :) and i have a feeling the creator is watching us bang our heads on the wall and quite enjoying it...!
ISRO at its best :) 104 birds on their normal vectors and critical velocity...the boys and girls have learnt to play...! :) I sometimes wonder if i did the right thing leaving the chance to be with the scientist community...my heart says it was a very difficult choice...my mind says don't look back...all in the race for space supremacy...i guess next is to go visit the Russian flag on Venus :) finally i guess we come around to men begin from Mars and women from Venus...guess where the kids are made (earth...!)...in this day and age when folks cannot even understand how tightly the matrix AI is wrapped around their daily lives...and how it moves faster than you can "think"...we can break stuff down to the smallest measurable particle but we will never be able to put together an atom...! In time we need only look for birds, animals in a special light...you can see through their eyes...all this from a bird...exotic one...but none the less a bird...bio-engineering or well reverse bio-engineering at its "best"...who needs surveillance infra...! I guess imaging will be better now that we have a bird or two around...we can see the forests dwindle, fields move in to what was formerly forest land and the city move into the former fields...a cycle that is slowly going to consume the planet...maybe we can learn from Germany...the waters which were once so polluted are rivers that one can drink from today all in twenty odd years...sow the seeds for a better tomorrow...keep that EPA :)
Dudes time to get mechatronics payload up there in orbit...you are working so hard at getting these birds up in the sky...lets have an sacrificial ultra low cost orbital payload for small stuff like docking with a satellite to get the sat out of the box in case the heat shield does not come off...or if you have lost communications with a bird...you can have one imaging + communications backup to set the poor bird in the right direction and give it a little push if you need to...all while watching that orbit turn into the right one for your payloads...keep at it...we believe in you master control :) In this matrix...sometimes the silent ones pay attention while flying around in their clipper ships :)
I have often wondered about anti-virus software giving the control of my PC or laptop to and external group...i mean if the anti-virus knows the patterns to scan...it can very well be used to unleash hell on some unsuspecting user who has no clue who has control of his machine...if it can catch a virus...it can release one just the same...its like you visiting the google doodle of the day by default while bringing up google.com in your country and the dudes quietly pressing the super user sandbox to the edge to give the stupid browser complete control...some of my "friends" have often done this kind of play group activity...an unsuspecting user going through a certain internet traffic pattern searching for some junk that he thinks will be freely available...so they lure him from "site" to "site" and "page" to "page" without him realising that he's traversing a DMZ which is actually fully militarised :) and if they get too ticked off...they can crash your system all the same in a click.
India's Drone policy at last...the much awaited news for all users, players, programmers and def tech dudes who can now patrol the skies at a convenient altitude and still get hi-res imagery at zip speed...only one hitch in the document [having read the whole thing almost]...they know that there will be millions of drones in the air in days to come...they should have enforced the use of the GAGAN/NAVIC chips as this would be a wonderful opportunity to test our systems out for resolution in the commercial band and make improvements on this system which we have entirely built ourselves at ISRO. Not that i have anything against the GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO etc. systems...but its kinda our airspace and we should be the ones ruling it...that the outsiders will pressurize us into using thier systems is of course going to be a nagging attempt...kind of reminds me of star trek...the romulan ship hit with red matter and captain kirk offering assistance...while spock says "no no...not this time"...probably the only time logic was defied in the face of a vulcan who had lost his mom to the romulan ship's bombing of vulcan prime.
This wild child grew up to be a T-Rex of sorts...during those initial days of learning on all fronts, we were allowed few indiscretions...however none the less we did be a bit difficult...post what was then UMR was a sort of graduation ceremony for the lil rex...made a few friends for life at school....wrapped up a few racket ball games with the best of the lot...learnt basketball or what little i could of that sport...wrapped up a few talented batsmen with my bowling arm...and last but not in the least got hacked big time...in this matrix i have gone only as far as feeling the needles in my head...some may have gone beyond that since i returned home...been twenty years...life has been a breeze [read as quite a few hurricanes] here at home...not having a girlfriend, not liking alcohol, not smoking anything they had to offer and not having a driving license while studying all seemed to make me the richest Indian kid on campus...i don't like mind control but then there are days when it is fun letting the american's in just to study how far they would go...and breaking them in the sense of control in real-time...was fun watching emails, voices, phones compromised... from all those kids who paid a lil attention to detail...Happy 150th...we are still the kids you made in those 2 years...you are always on my mind...fyi...its my grid at this end :)
For those believers in the cybersecurity world that understand the grid, as a country we have had enough of pain in terms of terrorists walking down a street and gunning down people because they are of a certain religion/faith. The problem with the system is gaps in defense...sometimes the locals are involved and hide these terrorists...sometimes a sleeper cell is activated just to create havoc...i guess one way to detect these morons while they are crossing the border is a brain signature....in this matrix everyone has a unique signature....it would be relatively easy to put into effect a sensor grid that detects and alerts the forces in time so that they can take necessary action. So far as our erstwhile neighbors are concerned, we don't care if the money is coming from the US, UK or Middle East to feed these terrorists in your country...as long as they are in your country and air space you will be taught a lesson you will never forget. We have lost too many good straight and normal people to these terrorists...it is time for payback i think...in a language you will understand. I sure hope the various departments in overdrive are working on a master plan...good luck and good hunting. As the song goes...listen through your ears, through your eyes i can see.

Crowd Funded Projects
We are looking for crowd funding for a couple of projects...in case anyone local is interested...we can arrange a business case and a presentation
Been a while...in another year we "draw the line"...song dedicated to the past :)
All that searching culminated into the keys to the grid...for all those who thought i'd be a better kid who deserves a second, third, ...nth chance.
thank you God :)
Its in the words not the video above :)
p.s. I didn't go looking for the codes...they arrived in the puzzle book :) all of 5 years of age!
