Sir Isaac Newton was arguably the greatest scientist ever to live. What is not well known about him, however, was that he was a passionate student of the bible and of history. He wrote over one million words of bible commentary, most notably on the interpretation of Daniel and Revelation. Although Newton remained a nominal member of the Church of England, he did not agree with many of its teachings. In "An Historical Account of Two Notable Corruptions of Scripture", he showed that the King James bible had been corrupted in order to support the Trinity doctrine. Personally, Newton believed in one, indivisible God, and found the Trinity doctrine to be unscriptural and illogical. Many suffered for their faith at the hands of evil governments and corrupt churches. They provide good examples for those who wish to be genuine disciples of Jesus.
