Dragons are a scary thing! Except when they're just a hatchling, young and adorable. Obviously they are unique to the Wizarding World, not something seen outside. They are powerful creatures filled with magic. That's why we see them used all around us.

Dragon dung is a rich and strong fertiliser.
Dragon eggs are highly prized, not only because they can hatch a dragon but also because the shells can be utilised in potion making.
Dragon horn is another potion ingredient.
Dragon hide is super strong clothing material, even impervious to some spells.
Dragon liver is also a potion ingredient.
Dragon meat can have minor healing properties.

The famous Hogwarts Headmaster, Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, has been credited with discovering the twelve uses of Dragon Blood known to us today. Some actually suspect that there might be further uses for Dragon Blood, that we simply have not discovered yet.
It is fairly expensive to buy bottled. It can come in different colors based on the type of Dragon it originates from, but the most common one is scarlet. Basically Dragon's Blood is very versatile, it has strong magical properties and can be used for many different purposes. Maybe one day you'll be able to find even more uses for it! For now, let's look at preparing potion ingredients.
Dragon's Blood is an item used directly in the same way as you buy it. We already said in the past that most ingredients actually require to be processed in some way. To give you some practice in this regard, we will look at the ingredients of a Draught of Living Death potion. Your sixth year colleagues will have the challenge of brewing this, while you will help them by preparing the ingredients.
The Draught of Living Death is essentially a sleeping potion, but an extremely powerful one. It's so strong it can make the drinker fall into an endless slumber. Among its ingredients is Asphodel Root. You will need to turn this into powder by crushing it with your Mortar and Pestle.
Next on our list is Wormwood, which we will need to create an infusion from. Bring some water to boiling temperature, while you set the wormwood in a container. Pour the water over the wormwood, and close the lid of the container. Let it sit for some hours. When you come back to it, use a strainer to separate the liquid. Put the infusion into a bottle.
You can chop the Valerian Root and let it dry. Meanwhile grab the Sopophorous Bean and crush it using the handle of a knife or any similar tool. And there you have it, you've done the preparation of all ingredients which require additional attention.
As a reward, let's look at our next potion!

The Wiggenweld Potion is essentially a healing concoction. It has the power to cure physical injuries on the body, while at the same time replenishing the drinker's stamina. It's been of high importance whenever the Wizarding World has seen battles in its history. The hospitals try to ensure a hefty stock for such emergency situations.
The potion can also be used as an antidote to the previously mentioned Draught of Living Death. In many fairytales there is often a princess who has fallen into a deep, death-like slumber. Then comes a prince who wakes her up with a kiss on her lips. This might in fact be a true tale. It could easily happen if the princess drank Draught of Living Death, and if the prince's lips were covered with the Wiggenweld Potion.
