Holden Lutheran Parish fosters fellowship among its members and fellow Christian believers through various activities and gatherings. While church attendance remains central to this fellowship, the parish also encourages the formation of groups based on shared interests in enjoyable activities. The common bond in Christ serves as the foundation, bringing individuals together to partake in these shared experiences. The possibilities for such activities are vast, catering to diverse preferences and interests. Whether it's sports, hobbies, or community outreach, the aim is to unite in Christ-centered camaraderie.
The essence of fellowship lies in the shared life with other believers through their relationship with God. Holden Lutheran Parish believes that nurturing this fellowship is vital for the health and vitality of the church. It envisions a community where individuals not only share a bond in Christ but also engage in activities that reflect the spirit of Christ in all endeavors. Join us in building meaningful relationships and enjoying Christ-centered fellowship.
Holden Lutheran Parish Hosts Joyful Softball Showdown
On Wednesday, August 27, members of Holden Lutheran Parish came together at the Mt. Morris Community Center for an evening of fellowship, laughter, and friendly competition. The event featured a spirited softball game between the Coram Deo Youth Group and the Young Youth Group—affectionately known as The Angels—and the rest of the congregation, proudly playing as The Saints.
The game was lively from start to finish, with cheers echoing across the field and smiles shared between players and spectators alike. Both teams played with heart and humor, embodying the joy and unity that define the Holden Lutheran Parish community.
After the game, everyone gathered for a classic ballpark dinner featuring hot dogs, chips, water, and Cracker Jack. The simple meal was a perfect complement to the evening’s lighthearted atmosphere, and a great time was had by all.
