Overview of Our Faith Formation Programs

At Holy Name of Jesus, our Religious Education program is committed to helping people of all ages grow in their Catholic faith. Faith formation is a lifelong journey, and we are blessed to walk alongside you and your family.

We are also always open to parishioners who feel called to begin new ministries or programs. If God has placed something on your heart, we would love to support and explore it with you.

Parish School of Religion (PSR)

Our PSR program is a vibrant and joy‑filled ministry where children are guided in their faith with love, patience, and genuine care. We are blessed with dedicated and knowledgeable volunteers who generously share their time and their own love for Christ. Our curriculum is rich, engaging, and rooted deeply in the teachings of the Catholic Church, helping students not only learn about their faith but truly live it. Every lesson, activity, and moment is designed to help children grow closer to Jesus and build a strong foundation that will support them throughout their lives.

Our PSR program meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year and serves children from Pre‑K through Confirmation.

Our goal is to help young people deepen their understanding of the faith and embrace their role as disciples of Christ.

OCIA – Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

Our OCIA program is a welcoming and supportive path for anyone seeking to grow in their understanding of the Catholic faith. Whether you are exploring becoming Catholic, completing your sacraments, or simply wanting to learn more, OCIA offers a gentle, guided journey rooted in prayer, community, and authentic teaching. Led by dedicated Deacon Larry Gronas, participants are invited to ask questions, deepen their relationship with Christ, and discover the beauty and richness of the Catholic Church in a setting filled with encouragement and genuine care.

Adults who wish to become Catholic
Baptized Christians seeking full communion with the Catholic Church
Baptized Catholics who have not yet received First Communion or Confirmation
Anyone who wants to learn more about the Catholic faith

Baptismal Preperation Program

Our Baptismal Preparation program is a beautiful opportunity for parents to deepen their understanding of the sacrament and their role as the first teachers of the faith. In a supportive and encouraging setting, parents learn about the meaning of Baptism, the grace it brings, and the lifelong journey it begins for their child. Our team walks with families as they prepare for this sacred moment, offering guidance, prayer, and practical help so parents feel confident and ready to nurture their child’s growing relationship with Christ.
