Join your hosts for an invigorating 60-minute hatha yoga practice that is designed to leave you feeling energized yet peaceful in body, mind and spirit. Then, stick around to enjoy a non-alcoholic mocktail and snacks with other Horace Mann parents. Wear comfortable clothes that allow for movement and bring a yoga mat if you have one. Elizabeth Fletcher, RYT-500, believes yoga is for every body, and welcomes both beginners and longtime practitioners to her classes.

Need a break from our snowy landscape? Escape with other HM parents to an oasis right in St. Paul - Como's Conservatory. Our group will explore behind-the-scenes and learn more about this "Jewel of Como" ... including how the garden staff keeps everything in the conservatory thriving year round! Following the tour, participants are entitled to a 10% discount in Como's gift shop.

At least one copy of Where the Crawdads Sing will be available, and we wouldn't be surprised if The Hate You Give showed up on the table as well. Most products at Golden Fig are produced in the upper Midwest by smaller, family owned companies. The selection is large and varies widely from cave aged

cheeses from Wisconsin, handmade truffles from Minneapolis, cookbooks from local authors, hand harvested honey from Minnesota and artisan baked goods from Minneapolis. Grass fed beef from a rancher in Cannon Falls, farm fresh eggs from Cannon Falls, and bacon from a farm in Waseca that is so good it’ll make you cry. 10% of all sales made at the shopping party will be donated to Horace Mann.

Come join us for the 9th Annual Horace Mann Dads Texas Hold'em Poker Gathering. $20 gets you a seat at the table. Beer and snacks provided. Whether you're seasoned or new to the game, playing poker in the Clark garage is a great event with the help of "Travis the Handyman's" great tables! If you've never played before, no worries - think of it as a way to get a hands-on-poker lesson from some friendly Horace Mann Dads and a couple hours of fun with free beer to boot.

Please join us for a relaxing night with other 2nd grade Moms' with no kids! We have a section reserved at French Meadow Bakery and Cafe on Grand. Enjoy wine and a choice of small plates and desserts. We are hoping to connect, commiserate, and celebrate our kids becoming third graders together.

A classic summer game at a classic St. Paul brewery. Join us May 28th from 6:00-10:00 for a friendly cornhole tournament at Summit Brewery. Entry includes 2 drink tickets. Teams will be randomly drawn that night of the tournament and prizes awarded to the winning team. Join us whether you are a beginner or have backyard bravado for a fun evening outside with fellow Horace Mann parents.

Come on over to enjoy cocktails & appetizer pairings. If you haven't been to a party hosted by Emily and Kym, you are missing out! They are Horace Mann's own Barefoot Contessas (or if you are Italian, Contesse). Flanked by their mixologists - Pete and Ryan - and their apprentice sous chef - Lauren (stressing apprentice after last years bacon jam :)) - they will deliver a pairings menu that will surprise and delight. Adults of any grade level are invited. It is a great way to meet other parents and enjoy and evening out.

Race across Highland Park with your team to solve riddles, beat challenges, and score points in the first ever Highland Park Amazing Race! Starts and ends at the Zimney home. Food and drink provided after the race with prizes for the top scoring teams!

Enough with snacks on the beach and paddling around a small lake- this is an adventure! We will start at Schulze Lake Beach in Lebanon Hills Park and paddle through the park to Jensen Lake. There are portages (5), mud, and bugs, as well as breakfast, great company, and beautiful scenery. Paddle boards, paddles, lifejackets, and shuttle back to Schulze Beach provided.

Experience the venue made famous by Prince, and get a behind-the-scenes look at how First Avenue & the 7th St Entry began. Step onto the world-renowned stage, check out the “set list wall” backstage and maybe even hear a few ghost stories. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes and will include a complimentary beverage and the neighboring Depot Tavern afterward.

Join us for the inaugural HM Beer (Beverage) Mile Championship race (race t-shirt included). Race individually or in the team division (co-ed) for a chance to make history. Race course will likely be cross-country style, not on a track, so hit the trails in preparation! Grill fare, beverages and encouragement will be provided, you bring the eye of the tiger!

Let’s hope for a hot August day to enjoy the pool and, who knows, there may be a floating rodeo bull you can take a stab at if you so desire... Libations and appetizers provided!
