Answers:

  1. Based on other schools' approach and research, our school recommends keeping e-Learning to 25%-50%. However, this ratio is subject to change according to the needs of subjects and the preference of teachers.
    參考其他學校及研究，書院建議電子學習佔課程25%-50%。不過，因應科本需要，老師可能作出調節。

  2. At first, the core subjects are involved, including Chinese, English, Mathematics and Science. Other subjects are more flexible.
    學科包括中文、英文、數學及科會先行參與自攜裝置計劃，其他科目將作彈性處理。

  3. Not at the moment. Traditional paper and pen learning still predominates other learning modes and students are required to take DSE in yjr paper and pen format.
    雖然電子學習近年有普及化趨勢，但主流學習模式仍以傳統紙筆模式為主。如果電子教學能於課題上提高學習效益，老師可選擇使用，否則我校亦不鼓勵老師強行推行電子教學。

  4. No. e-Learning is taken place both in school and at home. Students are required to charge the iPad and prepare for the next day of school to train their responsibility.
    學生將需將iPad帶回家進行學習。完成功課後，學生需自行為iPad充電，從而提高學生責任感。

  5. If students manage their iPad properly, our College believes the recommended models can be used for 6 years. However, this may subject to change depending on other factors, such as app updates and students' needs.
    如果學生妥善保管iPad，我校相信iPad足夠應付學習需要。


Questions about Parental Guidance (家長角色)

  1. What parent can do to help their child to use the device properly and has better learning efficacy?
    家長如果指導子女及提高學習效能?

  2. Are there workshops to help parents?
    可否舉辦講座/工作坊予家長?

  3. Can children install games on iPad?
    學生可否安裝遊戲?

  4. Can children install apps related to their personal interest, e.g. drawing apps?
    學生可否安裝與自己興趣相關的應用程式 (如: 畫畫)?


Answers:

  1. Parents can check children's homework as usual with the use of an iPad. There is also an app to check the usage of their children's iPad.
    家長仍可檢查學生功課。家長亦可透過應用程式理解學生學習情況。

  2. Yes! Our College organises talks/webinars for parents to attend. There will be more information and please pay attention to circulars.
    有! 家長可留意回條得到更多關於講座/工作坊的資訊。

  3. No! All iPads are managed by Our College through Mobile Device Management (MDM) and students must get approval from us before installing any apps.
    不能，學校使用流動裝置管理系統處理學生iPad。

  4. As long as the apps are conducive to students' learning and personal development, in principle, our College will consider the apps suggested by students and approve them even though not all of them are highly academically relevant. However, if students are found to use their apps inappropriately at school, our College reserves to rights to remove the apps to ensure students perform properly at school.
    雖然應用程式並非完全與學習直接關係，我校仍鼓勵學生培養自己興趣，因此，原則上，學生先向學校申請安裝應用程式，經過審批後，學生便可安裝。不過，如果學校發生學生未能正確使用iPad，學校有機會移除該應用程式。


Questions about security and damage (保安及損壞問題)

  1. Where can students store their iPad?
    學生應如何保管iPad?

  2. What should students do if they lose or damage their iPad?
    如果學生遺失iPad，該怎麼辦?

  3. What can be done if iPad is damaged?
    如果iPad損壞了，該怎麼辦?


Answers:

  1. Students must not leave their iPad unattended. Their device shall be kept in their locker when they do not need it, for example at recess or lunchtime.
    學生應長期    攜帶iPad，小息、午膳或無須使用iPad時，學生應將iPad妥善放置於儲物櫃，並將儲物櫃鎖上。

  2. Students should report to School Office immediately. Our College has prepared some spare iPads for students who may have damaged or lost their devices. Once a new device is purchased, students can get back their learning materials through MDM.
    學生應立即通知學校。遺失及損壞期間，我校將準備後備iPad供同學借用。裝置管理系統可將原有學習系統設定於學生的新iPad上。

  3. Students should report to School Office immediately. If your iPad issue is covered under AppleCare, you can bring the device to any Apple store for repair or a replacement.

    學生應立即通知學校。如果 iPad 問題在AppleCare保養的涵蓋範圍內，家長只需帶同iPad到任何Apple專門店進行維修或更換。

  1. No! Students can access the Internet through school Wi-fi and Home Wi-fi.
