Special Project: Puffer Train Restoration
The Puffer-Train parade float, people-mover, amusement ride, and Events' Brightener -- is indeed undergoing refurbishment. This being done entirely as the dedicated efforts of several individual enthusiasts so far, but largely for the benefit of our shared Mission of enriching the lives of everyone in the area, and providing educational cultural opportunities and interest.
We are accepting Donations on behalf of the restoration effort, and passing them on to the restorers. You can support this effort to bring this well remembered community mainstay back for more generations. Note on your donation check : "For the Puffer Train" - and we will donate the money to the re-builders to help defray their considerable out-of-pocket expenses.
The Puffer Train Chasis is the of a Crosley Farm-O-Road vintage utilty vehicle.
Puffer, stripped to the frame, undergoing a dedicated and thorough rebuild.
The Puffer is currently on Gasoline Alley at Speedway Indiana getting the best attention possible.
