"Teaching is a design science, and learning is a conversation."
- Matt Farber
Games are a great way for students (and teachers) to learn content and build community. Whether it is counting and pattern matching with Dominoes, collaborating to stop a worldwide Pandemic, reading digital games as texts, or even having students tell their own story through game creation, games provide a fun platform for meaningful learning.
I often use Game-Based strategies throughout my practice. Minecraft, Bloxels, and Kodable are just a few ways our students explore content through digital games.
