In my role as an Instructional Technology coach, I not only get the opportunity to innovate with the students but also support my colleagues on their path to innovation.
This year, I made some great innovations that helped move our technology forward. These innovations impacted not only the Lower School but extended to the campus at large. I incorporated Game-Based learning to help students and teachers understand content through gaming, a practice that helps reach learners of all styles. I organized our existing resources, purchased new ones, and created systems of deployment to help teachers achieve their Educational Objectives, as well as increasing the efficacious integration of technology at various levels. I inspired others to innovate with me as we embarked on school wide events such as the EA Derby and increased access and use of Audio Visual components being woven and integrated into the curriculum. I am particularly proud to have had the opportunity to extend the reach of my collaboration and innovation as the Co-Chair of the Computer Science committee, helping usher in a new academic department that will launch a new Computer Science revolution at The Episcopal Academy.
