🏁 TEAM CAPTAIN OPPORTUNITIES

Want to be part of something amazing? We’re looking for enthusiastic, organized volunteers to help lead some of the fun at Highway to Home!

Team Captains play an important role in making the day run smoothly while helping create an unforgettable event for our community and the shelter dogs we’re supporting.

As a Team Captain, you’ll:

• Help guide one of the event areas

• Work with a small team of awesome volunteers

• Follow an easy checklist so everything runs smoothly

• Stay connected with event leadership if questions come up

• Help bring your section to life from setup to wrap-up

Don’t worry — you won’t be on your own!

Every Team Captain receives a Captain Packet with everything you need, including:

✔ Simple timelines

✔ Supply lists

✔ Volunteer assignments

✔ Helpful contact sheets

It’s a great way to get involved, meet great people, and help make a real difference for shelter dogs.

🟢 Motorcycle Ride (Poker Run) Captain

🟢 Car Show Captain

🟢 Dog Adoption & Rescue Area Captain

🟢 Raffle & Gift Basket Station Captain

🟢 First Aid Station (Human & K9) Captain

🟢 Vendor & Food Truck Coordination Captain

🟢 Kids Zone & Family Activities Captain

🟢 Pet Costume Parade & Contest Captain

🟢 Event Setup & Breakdown Captain

🟢 Registration & Check-In Captain

Leadership roles will be updated in real-time as they are filled.

If a Team Captain position is filled, you are still welcome to serve as part of that team.

🐶 VOLUNTEER SUPPORT ROLES

Not looking to lead? We need you too.

Volunteer opportunities include:

• Event setup & breakdown

• Dog handling & support

• Check-in & guest assistance

• Donation & raffle table support

• Car show assistance

• Kids activity helpers

• Parking & directional support

• Outreach & advocacy

• General floaters (wherever needed most)

You may volunteer for:

✔ A few hours

✔ Half day

✔ Full day

We will schedule you based on your availability and chosen area.

❤️ WHY IT MATTERS

Highway to Home is dedicated to:

• Funding adoption fees

• Providing microchips & ID tags

• Supplying “Welcome Home” adoption baskets

• Covering essential supplies for rescue dogs

Our mission is simple:

Throttle Open. Kennels Empty.

And it takes ALL PAWS ON DECK to make it happen.
