What you can do for the Maltese HerpAtlas

Volunteer contributions to the collection of herpetofauna observation data are extremely important for the constant enrichment of the HerpAtlas with new and updated information. 

If you come across a reptile or amphibian (alive or dead), you can submit your observation using the form provided here.

Through the form, you can provide details on the location of the sighting, either with coordinates or by providing a description, as well as the date of observation and any photos or videos you might have, for verification of the species and extraction of further information such as the health status of the animal, age, etc.. In case you do not know what the species is but you have photos of it, you can indicate your level of uncertainty about the identification and a member of our team will identify it.
