Cultural heritage is a very diversified scientific field.
However, it is possible to articulate it, within common research projects, for example in the form of an international web investigation program.
In other words: a future scientific heritage made by researchers, for rebuilding the interpretation of cultural heritages?
Please observe, in the image below, two of the main poles of such possible enterprise, discussed at a webinar conducted by CITAR research centre in 2023, about cultural heritages and related cultural tourism.
Around these two main conceptual and semantic poles, other concepts were studied by this webinar authors, who are located at the bottom of the image, marked in Orange, in alphabetic order.
In the whole, this picture testify that this research project is, in itself, a social project.
In effect, on the top, highlighted in blue, are the concepts that represent social structures, at the macrossocial level. At the centre, in green, one of the social contexts debated, the political prison. Then, social practices such as musealization and conservation are noted in yellow. Finally, some social agentsinvolved, that is, the authors of this webinar.
In sum, these authors and others may articulate and federate alternative, tragic, dark and hybrid heritages, through 3 central pillars:
• Firstly, a reconceptualization and differentiation / hybridization of theories, by deconstructing and reconstructing their core concepts.
• Secondly, restructure methodology, through mixed methods and media, both qualitative and quantitative.
• And thirdly, develop case studies, that practically show and demonstrate differentiated and hybrid theories and methods,
• such as the alternative, tragic, dark and hybrid Ukraine heritages.
Nevertheless, the web of concepts for instance around cultural heritage, is immense.
Some exemples, shown in the next web site pages, are being collected inside a sociological project in progress about hybrid, alternative and dark heritages.
