Labour XII · Cerberus

The myth

The last Labour sent Heracles into the underworld to bring back Cerberus, the three-headed hound at its gate. He was first initiated in the mysteries at Eleusis. Hades allowed him to take the dog only if he used no weapons. Wrapped in the hide of the Nemean Lion from his very first Labour, Heracles wrestled Cerberus into submission, carried him to the world above, and completed the Twelve Labours.

What it teaches

What you built at the start carries you at the end. The lion hide from Labour I protected Heracles in his hardest fight, just as your earliest work protects you in your last.

How this Labour trains you

Labour XII brings it all together. A few chosen movements are worked heavy and paired with explosive box jumps, a final test of strength and power.

Recovery

The cool-down stretches focus on the whole body, calves and hips, after power work.
