8. Collaborative Relationships

This artifact was created during my first week of student teaching. It was produced Jan 10, 2023. It was created to introduce to the families who I am. I created this, "Meet the Student Teacher" letter to be able to communicate and collaborate with my students as well as their families. Building positive and healthy relationships promote successful experiences for all. This also allowed the families to get in contact with me, work with me in providing a collaborative learning community for all to learn and be successful in.

This artifact shows the importance of all individuals who shape the students lives, working together as a team. The development of the child is important. This artifact connects well with indicator 8L. It is expressed how, "initiates collaboration with others to create opportunities that enhance student learning;" (8L). Within this artifact I wanted to engage and work closely with the families to create opportunities for communication to expand and develop the knowledge of the students. Specifically, I would send emails, dojo messages of what is happening in the classroom or the school overall, face to face conversations to work closely  with the families in building collaborative relationships  to support the learning of the student in every way possible. This artifact shows great evidence in the development of creating opportunities for the students as I worked closely with families to promote successful and productive learning experiences.

This artifact is important to me as a teacher for many reasons. It is important to build trust, to develop and collaborate relationships that will encourage and motivate the students learning. This artifact will also show great importance for future classrooms I will have because I will want to connect with my families to support their child's learning.  Finding ways to work closely and create opportunities of which will engage all members of the students circle of learning will allow for success. I learned it is important to work together and develop an effectiveness of teamwork, growth and learning. 

This artifact was created on April 10, 2023. This is a Jam board that was created for all staff to participate in where they shared their thoughts and ideas on the importance of their ELL students, their academic success as well as supporting all learners within the classroom setting. This artifact contains ideas of how us as teachers can work together to promote a positive and engaging learning environment for all student learners. This activity demonstrated the importance of collaborating to create effective academic strategies that would encourage all learners.

The importance of this artifact is to find ways to establish and create ways that can engage all of our learners to be the best possible students that they can be. This artifact teaches us the importance of ways, interventions to create effective strategies within the classroom so the student can build on their skill set. We created effective strategies that would support our overall teaching practices to serve in the best interests of the students. For example, supporting all learners can ber very different depending on the classroom you work in. In this activity us as professional educators were able to pair and share different ways to encourage the learning for the students in providing the best interventions possible. This artifact demonstrates and expresses the importance within the indicator 8F. As it expresses from indicator 8F, "understands the importance of participating on collaborative and problem solving teams to create effective academic and behavioral interventions for all students." (8F). I also feel that this indicator connects well to the artifact because us as educators need to find new interventions, effective learning strategies not only for academics but behaviorally as well. Collaborating and learning off of one another builds a positive learning climate for not only educators but especially for our learners.

This artifact is essential to the development of my teaching career. It is important to understand and find ways to encourage and engage our students who may be struggling academically and or emotionally.  Participating in this activity with my colleagues not only supported my learning path but also created an importance of understanding how our students learn with the struggles they experience. We as teachers need to be mindful and explore different interventions and apply effective strategies to enhance student learning. Collaboration is important in all learning capacities and as a teacher working as team to provide instructive methods, strategies and interventions will create a successful and positive learning environment.
