The climate of Kenya varies by location. From mostly cool every day, to always hot temperatures. The climate along the coast is tropical. This means rainfall and temperatures are higher throughout the year. Kenya lies on the equator and has a tropical climate, But there are large regional climatic variations influenced by several factors, including altitude. Daytime temperatures average between 20°C and 28°C but it is warmer on the coast.
There are no seasons as we know in The Netherlands. But there are two seasons in Kenya, a dry and a rainy season. First, “season of long rains” lasts from April to June and the other one, “season of short showers”, is between October and December. However precipitation is possible even at the driest time. Usually rains occur at noon or late evening.
